Мутации, проявление которых зависит от средовых условий; м. скрытые — мутации, которые в зависимости от средовых условий проявляются фенотипически или как дикий тип, или как мутантный фенотип. Некоторые мутанты бактерий летальны при t = 45°C, но хорошо растут при t = 37°C (см. Температурочувствительная мутация).
